The ViPR 60-second challenge is to complete as many squat to uppercut movements as you can in a minute. Men should complete the challenge with a 12kg ViPR, while women in this challenge use a 6kg ViPR.
It is important to remember that the technique involves a step (however big or small you choose) and not a lunge into the uppercuts on each side following the squat.
In our video below, the winning male challenger completed 24 squats to uppercuts, as did the female, in 60 seconds.
The men’s winner Jay Henry said of the challenge, “It was tough but I made it through. I found it hard from about 10 actually; it was hard to keep co-ordination and keep a good tempo and make sure everything was right. I felt it in my legs, my core, arms, back – so it’s a great overall workout.”
There will be a prize for the best score (performed with good technique), so why not challenge Jay’s score of 24? Upload your video on YouTube to FitProLtd to be in with a chance to win a £20 discount from FitPro Shop.
